Swimming Pool was excellent Staff very friendly Beds were good, rooms were clean and tidy but we stayed three nights and they didn't clean the room on the second day. Breakfast was good and we ate in the Hotel on or last night, the staff were nice and friendly I didn't find the Reception Staff and evening Staff very friendly and when booking in they didn't tell us what time breakfast was or were to get. It just seemed like you book into the hotel and get on with it and hand in your key when you leave.

We had a lovely stay at the Maldron Hotel Portlaoise during our trip to Ireland. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, making it a great base for visiting family and exploring the surrounding area. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed and inviting. It was a nice place to return to after a busy day of traveling and sightseeing. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the Maldron Hotel Portlaoise to anyone visiting the area. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Ireland.

I ate in the bar, it was overpriced and small portion. I'll probably stay in the hotel again if the other hotels are booked out but I will eat somewhere else.
