Overall the staff were polite. The room didn't seem that clean tbh with hair in the bath tub and stains all over the carpet, the paint was flaking away and dents on the walls. However the beds were really comfy. Shower took time to warm up, just in general didn't seem like that much care taken for the upkeep, downstairs was lovely. Unfortunately not really enough selection for breakfast even for a continental breakfast. Probably wouldn't be a first choice for us now but it could have been a lot worse, was okay considering we weren't spending much time at the hotel due to a busy schedule.

We stayed in the works room. It was very spacious and had a microwave and full size fridge. It was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. To get a hot shower we had to turn all the taps on and let them run for ages. Once hot though the shower was lovely. The breakfast however was a letdown. No full English only continental. Just cereal or a cheese and pesto panini for vegetarians.

The Good: The location is the only real win here—the proximity to the beach is amazing and makes for a great base if you only care about the sea. The building itself has "grand bones," but the potential is wasted. The Room & Heating: We had a major issue with the heating on our first night. Even after contacting staff in person and via their dedicated WhatsApp group, it wasn't resolved promptly. It’s frustrating that the heating/AC has to be manually activated by the hotel; it’s an unnecessary hurdle for guests. The Breakfast: The breakfast offering was shocking and incredibly stingy. Similar to what other guests have noted, it was very basic: one ciabatta cut in half with only half a sausage inside. It’s one of the poorest hotel breakfasts I’ve experienced. Decor & Vibe: The interior is a bizarre mash-up of styles that doesn’t work. The grand architecture is buried under pastels and neon lighting that feels cheap and doesn't do the building justice. It’s a confusing aesthetic that feels more like a budget diner than a stylish hotel. Verdict: Amazing location, but let down by poor service, "minimalist" food, and a decor choice that misses the mark.
