The hotel itself is very nice, but our experience was mixed. We arrived at 4:15, only to be told our room wasn’t ready. The front desk assured us it would just be five minutes and that by the time we got our belongings from the car, our key would be available. Instead, we ended up waiting in the lobby for 90 minutes. At 5:30, we were finally told a room was ready.
When we got to the room, we found only two sets of towels, despite the reservation clearly noting a family of four. When we asked, we were told we had to return to the desk ourselves to retrieve additional towels—an inconvenience after already waiting so long to check in.
The suite also had a maintenance issue: the large dresser in the bedroom had a drawer that wouldn’t stay closed. No matter how many times we shut it, it would drift open again. My son bumped into it several times, which was frustrating and could have been unsafe.
That said, the housekeeping staff and the gentleman at the front desk were very kind and professional. The issue wasn’t with their courtesy but with the lack of timely turnaround and communication. If the wait was going to be 90 minutes, it would have been much better to communicate that upfront so we could plan accordingly rather than being left hanging.
Overall, the hotel is attractive and the staff are friendly, but operational issues around room readiness, communication, and basic amenities made our stay less enjoyable than it could have been
