Price was very good, though if you want fancier, and closer to downtown Scranton, check 3rd party online discounters, like hotels.com for The Raddison - wh/ is in walking distance for downtown Scranton, for maybe $30/night more, and is in an architecturally cool building where the old train station was back in the day. The room WAS clean enough - unless you have an OCD brain, then the lack of detail might get to you.
Pillows small but adequate (I bring my own)
Bed was medium firm, so good enough, for sure.
Water pressure in the shower = fine.
Towels better than the Motel6 postage stamp towels, but short of nice.
Huge grocery shopping market next store.
Breakfast was minimum - waffle batter, cereal, toast, and no protein - not even hard boiled eggs. Diabetics beware!
Pandarella's is a nice friendly diner down the street - 5 min drive, wh/ we enjoyed for breakfast. Warm and helpful employees. Staff was responsive, though I would not exactly call them warm!
