I stayed at this hotel recently, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to a maintenance issue that was handled very poorly. The shower only had cold water, and we reported this to the front desk early in the morning. The maintenance team didn’t come until after 10 a.m by which time we were getting ready to check out.
They were unable to fix the issue, and after another 30-minute wait, we were offered a late check-out and the option to move to another room to use the shower. However, by that point, we had to leave for our next engagement.
To make matters worse, the maintenance team mentioned that the front desk would offer some compensation points, but when we informed the front desk, there was no apology or acknowledgment. We were simply told to contact Hotels.com instead.
Overall, the issue was handled with no sense of urgency, no accountability, and no courtesy. A simple apology would have gone a long way, but instead, we left feeling frustrated and undervalued as guests.
