Overall ok

The rooms were nicely remodeled and clean but the air conditioner did not work. It was very warm in the room. The on sight restaurant was advertised but no one was there to serve you. We waited around for the bar tender but he just kept saying he would be with us but kept attending the guys at the bar. We went somewhere off property to eat. The ladies at the front counter were friendly and offered delicious cookies. Overall it was pretty good.

Not so great.

First room was so humid we had to switch to a second room, in the 2nd room no matter what we did we couldn't not get the temperature above 67°. Pool is way we too cold to use and the hot tub was broken and removed. Noon of this was mentioned on there site.

This hotel, on the day I visited had no hot water . It seems this was hotel wide. When I asked the front desk for some sort of compensation, they denied my request and offered me points - which I NEVER received. On my way out, I asked for a receipt. Never was emailed to me. I called back, asked for it again. Same deal ( yes I know about spam, junk email folders and the like). No receipt ( ever ) and the persons helping me were way less than friendly and offered no alternatives, they made it my problem. Both these rather small but significant issues - I’ll never stay here or at another DoubleTree again.

No hand soap. We asked the front desk and they said they were out. So we had to lean over and get soap from the shower dispenser attached to the shower wall every time we needed to wash our hands. Also, we booked a King room but when we arrived they were out. Breakfast was not good. Cold coffee, no cream. I wouldn’t pay for it. The whole place is pretty run down.

Staff was great- baseball team were not

There were baseball teams there so its to be expected a little. But we were sitting outside the pool area and the boys were throwing footballs from 2nd floor and kept hitting us. We asked them to stop but seem to get worse. The front desk DID talk to them 1 time but it never stopped.

No hot breakfast and no hot water for showers because of a gas leak the day prior to our checkin all of which we found out the day after our checkin and after we swam in the pool.

This was a nice hotel, comfortable beds and clean. The only issue was they were hosting several youth sports teams that same weekend. There were LOTS of kids running around making noise. The parents congregated in the lobby and sitting areas taking up every single space. There was nowhere for us to hang out in the evenings as they totally took over every shareable space.

Everything was great, the front desk lady didnt understand about pets very well so I talked to the overall manager and he chatted with her. I had my adult dog and a puppy with me that is learning a kennel. Dont get me wrong when I visit Manhattan this is my GO TOO hotel to stay at. Staff is incredible.

Well when u first see the place it nice on the outside and the lobby, but when u walk down the hallway it's creepy has a smell and the doors take a moment to shut or not even fully shut. Also we had a interior door that went out to the pool but the door lock for the key wasn't working to get back into the room so we had to go around. To get in our room! Also if u like a well lighted room this isn't the place for you but the bed was soft and clean as the bathroom but no suit case rack. We also had the breakfast included and it was a yummy way to start our day! 3Gold Stars

I didn't like that they had a gas leak and just let a note under everybody's door and letting us know about it and we had no hot water over the weekend or even when I checked out on Monday morning I had to take my dog out and the elevator was not working because of the gas leak and I'm handicapped and I had to walk down two flights of stairs and I fell down the first flight of stairs
