Birch Bay Waterslides
Learn more about Birch Bay
Tide pools reveal themselves along the crescent-shaped beach where families hunt for tiny crabs and starfish during low tide. Kayakers glide through calm waters while keeping eyes peeled for eagles soaring overhead. Birch Bay State Park offers peaceful walking trails through coastal forest, a perfect break from beach lounging. The waterslides provide a chlorinated alternative when the bay feels too chilly for swimming. Terrell Creek attracts bird watchers who set up spotting scopes with quiet determination. Waterfront restaurants serve fresh Dungeness crab with views that explain why locals tolerate winter storms. Summer weekends bring a parade of families who've been coming for generations, their beach traditions as predictable as the tides.

"Good staff"
Semiahmoo Resort Golf & Spa, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
"My husband and I stayed two nights. The room was lovely and the bed super comfortable. The room temperature was cool and the bed coverings light (but after a hot summer we had a rather sudden drop in temperature). No extra blankets in the room but I just put the robe on the bed that was enough to make it comfortable. The staff was very nice, especially in the restaurant Packers on site. We ate there both nights since the other on-site restaurant closed at 6:00, and you are almost 30 minutes from other options. While the restaurant staff was friendly and efficient, and the view interesting, the food was only 3 stars. The fish (fish and chips) was overcooked and dry and the Caesar salad had a dressing that was too generously applied and I was told they were adding extra anchovy flavoring (paste?, ground?). No. Don't. I am finding that more and more restaurants are taking classic recipes and putting their own spin on them which is not working out well. (Think eggs Benedict with cayenne pepper and hot sauce in the hollandaise sauce - but that belongs in a separate review.). We didn't eat the smash burger, but we should have - it looked good."
Rosario Resort
"We liked the location and the view. The room was a bit tight. Considering it comes with a kitchenette at a bigger price, we expected to see a larger space. Overall, is a no contact service, and nobody cleans the room during our stay. For a longer period, this would probably be an inconvenience. Overall, considering the circumstances of being on a island, we loved our stay. servi"
Oxford Suites Bellingham

Raintree's Sandcastle
"I love the spacious two bedroom units on the top floor with an amazing view of Birch Bay."
Bellis Inn
"It’s an old hotel but well maintained and clean. The location and surroundings of the building is very homey, relaxing because of the big trees. Definitely we’ll come again here."
Quality Inn Grand Suites Bellingham
"They accommodated our needs well and were very thoughtful."
