Catch a concert at the legendary First Avenue music venue or marvel at the angular metallic shell of U.S. Bank Stadium. The IDS Center's crystalline facade anchors a skyline of glass towers where business meets pleasure. Light rail stations make getting around a breeze, connecting you to the airport and suburbs in minutes. Choose from sleek business hotels connected to the skyway network or boutique properties with skyline views. When hunger strikes, you'll find everything from casual lunch spots to upscale steakhouses with distinctly Midwestern charm.

The dining scene spans from gastropubs to coffee shops in renovated warehouses, offering locally-sourced cuisine that captures the neighborhood's creative spirit.

Uptown

You can fuel up at farm-to-table bistros or late-night taco joints before hitting the vibrant bar scene. Walkable streets and bike lanes make exploring a breeze, while boutique hotels and vacation rentals in converted historic buildings offer stylish places to crash after a day by the lakes.

Northeast Minneapolis
Northeast Minneapolis bursts with creative energy in its converted brick warehouses. Discover art galleries in former industrial spaces like Northrup King Building. Colorful murals splash across facades during Art-A-Whirl festival. The Grain Belt sign glows against the skyline while craft breweries fill the air with hoppy aromas. Well-connected via transit, this neighborhood offers street parking and bike infrastructure. Eastern European influence shines through local eateries serving pierogi alongside farm-to-table restaurants. Independent boutiques and studios sell handmade pottery and screen-printed apparel, reflecting the authentic creative community.

Between the Mississippi River's banks and countless lakes, this Twin Cities duo offers a cultural feast beyond its frosty reputation. The Walker Art Center's sculpture garden invites selfies with the giant cherry-and-spoon, while Minnehaha Park's waterfall provides natural drama year-round. Catch a Twins game at Target Field or marvel at U.S. Bank Stadium's Nordic-inspired architecture. The Mall of America isn't just shopping—it houses an indoor theme park complete with roller coasters. Winter visitors should embrace the cold at Buck Hill or Afton Alps, where locals prove snow is just another playground.

Fairfield Inn & Suites By Marriott Minneapolis Downtown
"Room was clean and comfortable! Blackout shade made falling asleep easy! Staff was friendly and seemed to love their job (been places where they didn’t!). We returned our rental car before checking in (just a short walk) so we didn’t have to pay the $25 parking fee. Dinner next door was good with full bar. Breakfast (till 9am) was good."

"The chocolate chip"
Hyatt Centric Downtown Minneapolis
"Nice hotel and rooms were updated, but our hallway smelled of smoke. Staff were kind and helpful. Parking was reasonable but a little confusing. A good stay overall"
Emery, Autograph Collection Hotel
"Lovely hotel in well-located downtown area. Room was not ready at check-in, had to change clothes for the event I was attending in the bathroom. Having said that, the bathroom was large and clean. Our room was ready 25 minutes later as we were walking out the door. Not as relaxing as I hoped after a 2.5 hour drive and a hassle parking. Staff was kind and empathetic. Both front desk receptionists were great. Room was clean (and I am definitely picky)! Bed was just okay. On the firm side yet seemed to be sagging. Bedding was crisp and comfortable. Pillows were "crunchy". Not uncomfortable, but had a slight odor... earthy. I would stay here again, if the price remains competitive. Thanks!"
Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis Downtown
"We were there for the concert at the stadium and staff were so nice and they did specials in the bar with drinks and food for the occasion. Hotel is SO quiet, even though you are downtown and the views are amazing on both sides of the building. We were on the 10th floor. Will stay here again. "
Days Hotel by Wyndham University Ave SE
"The parking was good, the staff was great. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room, was, well . . . . the carpeting felt damp from humidity, the bathroom was a bit moldy on the ceiling, etc. "

The Lofton Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
