What a wonderful place! We loved hearing about the history of the home.
The home and grounds are so beautiful. We loved having our window open during the nigbt and hearing the sound of the water fountain outside. The innkeepers Ginny and Lori were so welcoming and hospitable and made our stay so delightful. The homemade breakfast was delicious. We only wished we had planned to stay longer. Next time for sure.
This is an old school, built in the 1950s hotel. The staff is the heart. They make everything that is special. There’s a great outdoor pool, a fantastic hot tub, beautiful old apple trees, generous continental breakfast. My family was happy staying here.
The check in was really easy. The staff was super friendly. I am truly picky when it comes to cleanliness so trust me when I say I was looking. This place passed my inspection.
Although we only stayed one night the experience was delightful. Beautifully landscaped property right on the water. Very comfortable and perfect for visiting Belfast and Camden.
Hip revamp of an older motel with great beds, beautiful water views, blend of mid century and fresh design with comfort and convenience. Great value. Does have road noise and needs both soundproofing and updated plumbing for hot water...so do most places on Rt 1. Skip overpriced Camden and head north to Dots for food and Belfast for ships and shops.
The cottage is cute with a great view of the lake. Quiet and peaceful yet convenient to town. Plenty to see and do in the area. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend staying here!
It was easy to find. The room had a beautiful view and it had a private porch to sit. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and I do love the fact that they had no carpets.
We stayed here the weekend before and had a couple of small irritants but this stay was all but one irritant free. The previous room had plugs and usbs at both nightstands however this room only had them at one nightstand. It was mainly an irritant because it was on my side and I like to play on my phone before bed and needed to charge it which meant the cord was draped over my better half. So all in all it's a great place to stay. Pool area was nice too with towels and chairs and a handicap...
There are a few things that I would like in addition to what is already there for a perfect stay....dehumidification, grab bar inside tub, towel bars on wall in bathroom, and a better in-room coffee making system.
Otherwise, this is the absolute perfect place to stay. It is slightly less expensive because there is no fabulous lounge or pool, but it is convenient walking distance to everything in Belfast Harbor, has the most comfortable mattress and bedding, fantastic water pressure, wonderful...
It's not the 4 Seasons - but it was perfect for the trip to the Maine coast. We used it as a base for several days exploring the area, including Acadia Nat. Park - only 1 hour away. Would highly recommend it. The view of the bay, the fireplace and extra-large tv made it feel very comfortable.
The view and quiet peaceful atmosphere of the Yardarm Motel is fantastic. The privacy of having your own check-in and easy morning coffee is wonderful. To add to it, the owners are interesting and have a fascinating story to share if you are fortunate enough to bump into them during your stay.
We stayed in 7 different B&B's on our vacation and although they were all very nice, this was the best. From the road it's hard to get a feel for the Inn. The intriguing hand carved wood screen door signals something different is ahead. Once inside the beautiful post and beam construction and lovely decor impress and confirm you made the right choice. The owners have a great story that will make you feel envious that your not a wild Maine blueberry farmer with acres of maple trees for syrup...
Oh my goodness, what an adorable place! Stayed two nights in this lovely little B&B! Hosts were friendly and helpful, breakfasts were wonderful, and location was perfect. Walk to the little town or to the waterfront for some shopping or dining. The home is decorated perfectly. A few things to take note of: the fireplace is not a working one, our bathroom while private was down the hall, and no television in the room. We didn't mind this, but some may.
