I've never been to Elba but heard great things about it. Seemed overwhelming, but when I learned we could take our car on the ferry, I decided to go. But where to say? What town, what hotel? Using comments by others on Trip Adviser I decided to go to Marina di Campo (great beaches, shopping, restaurants and more going on). And then picked what sounded like a perfect hotel for us.Hotel Select had virtually no negative comments and so many positives. I concur-- I highly recommend both the hotel...
The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic with everything you could want. The room was spacious, had a nice balcony, the shower was excellent, the AC worked great and the bed was comfortable. The beach is a one minute walk along with several nice restaurants. We have been in France and Italy for four weeks and this is the nicest hotel we have stayed in.
Very clean, new accommodations, and friendly helpful employees. We got a very nice deal in peak season and would have liked to stay longer. Will recommend highly.
