Loved this place and it was a good price. We were close to the Blue Ridge Pkwy in a cabin near the small campground that was wooded and private with a porch. The cabin had great cable tv options and a warm, fireplace insert. Cabins were comfortable and clean (rustic with modern bedroom). The room was clean. The staff were friendly. The steak at dinner was awesome. They also had snacks and drinks that you could purchase at reasonable prices in the shop downstairs. Great view.
I recently stayed at the Embers for one night and wish I had a longer stay. the location was very private and beautiful. the area around it in Blowing Rock is great, with lots of dining options. the rooms are spacy. I had the single king size room . the bathrooms and showers are just beautiful and they have all the essentials you need. Very Clean, beds are comfortable, coffee water & expresso available in your room. robes and slippers are provided
This place was a great surprise. The room was very clean and very comfortable. It was very nice that the linens and towels were not the typical stark white that you see in most hotels. The linens were very soft and had all the touches of home. The towels were color coordinated to match the rest of the room. I wish it would be less religious. There are three huge crosses at the middle of the lake, that they manage to light up at night. So it is in your face every time you take a walk around the lake or look from the balcony. It is a major turn off for non religious person or non christian.
We chose this hotel because it is pet friendly. We were in town for the Winterfest and the location was perfect. We were able to walk to the shops and restaurants which is great because parking in Blowing Rock can be a challenge. Our room was clean and nicely decorated and a very comfortable bed. Would stay there again and looking forward to our trip.
