" It showed in the care they took at the front desk for guests. Due to a problem with my phone I had not received the text I should, but was treated very politely and very warmly when I arrived after check in time. it definitely doesn't have the corporate feel, but nor a B&B feel - just a small business with a good heart feel. The room was comfortable (single with bathroom). I had been concerned that since there was a busy restaurant the evening might be noisy but in my room I could not hear any of the restaurant noise. Single bed was very comfortable. The room decor is in keeping with the heritage of the hotel and recently refurbished. Lovely and clean. Breakfast the next morning was simple (range of choice narrow) but what there was extremely tasty. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a (slow) car charger in the car park even though I had not seen it on any map. I would definitely stay again if in the area."
