Cheap Hotels in Japan

This hotel is truly a hidden gem. Located on a busy side street, it is within walking distance of the Dotonbori district and several major subway lines, making it easy to explore the rest of the city. The room was comfortable and well equipped with good amenities. I especially enjoyed the lobby, which is set up like a cozy library with books and complimentary beverages. The laundry room is conveniently located next to the lobby and even has comfortable seating while you wait. The breakfast was...

Friendly staff.

Rooms have lots of space, breakfast has variety and onsen is great after a long day of exploring the city

Our stay at Hotel Niwa made our Japan trip exceptional! As American travelers in our early 30s, we found this place to be a gem in Tokyo. The hotel's ambiance was simply beautiful, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious for a city known for compact spaces. Its prime location, just a 5-minute walk from a JR line, made navigating Tokyo incredibly convenient. Plus, being within walking distance of fantastic restaurants and yes, even the indispensable 7-11s, added immense value to our stay. The...

If you’re getting in late prefect hotel Has everything you need

I stay at this hotel every time I have a late flight into Osaka, and it is always clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff is helpful no matter what time of day it is, and the breakfast buffet has a large variety of delicious food every time I stay.

Hotel room was a little dated, however, it was definitely very clean. Breakfast was great, but I wish they could’ve changed up the menu daily. The shuttle to the airport (every 20 minutes), train station and Aeon Mall was a definite plus and very convenient. Just to let you know Aeon Mall also has a huge grocery store that basically has everything you’ll probably need and more. From what I observed from the bus ride I didn’t see anything close in walking distance. If you are planning to...

This was a fantastic hotel! The location was incredible - it is walking distance to the Yamanote train line which connects you to other main attractions in Tokyo. There is also tons of great restaurants and shops in the area as well and a convenience store in the heart of the lobby making it easy to grab food, drinks or other supplies. The staff was very kind and helpful when shipping luggage to our next hotel in Kyoto. Lastly, you can take the Airport Limousine Shuttle Bus from Haneda and get...

Great rooms with closet and Japanese style bathroom. Availability of laundry machines shown on TV channel. Great breakfast buffet. Japanese garden on 9th floor. Very responsive front desk. Great hotel for bad weather - you never need to go outside. Giant quality restaurant food hall on 8th floor. The mall / Yodobashi on floors B1 thru 8 can be accessed by escalator from the lobby, and there is a secret door that directly connects the hotel B1 elevator lobby to the grocery store in the mall,...

A cozy room! Breakfast was really good. Very clean.

The staff and service are always great.

Very nice staff and accessible to quick trains and convenient stores

Hotel staff was great and very accommodating..

Exciting experience with children.

Great location. I’d stay here again

It a very nice no frills hotel; no fancy lobby or restaurant or bar. The room was clean and comfortable. The price was very reasonable; almost too low for what you got. But note that even though it advertises an airport shuttle, it runs on a limited schedule, so check on that. Or plan to take the train, which is only one station from the airport. I would have had to wait over 3 hours for the next shuttle, so I hopped on the train. The hotel is just outside the train station.

I have been staying at this property for over 10 years when I come to Japan. It’s my favorite property because the property is conveniently located amongst great transportation and shopping. I had a quite disturbing experience when I was lining up at the front desk to ask about their takkyubin services. When it was my turn an older gentleman with salt and pepper hair color asked me in a disrespectful voice “check in?” I was taken aback by this. Since I am able to speak in Japanese fluently, I...

Excellent bus shuttle service provided by the hotel.

The staff at this hotel was extremely kind and considerate. Would give the staff 6 stars if I could!

10-15 min walk to Shinjuku. Multiple train entrances. Convenience stores every where. Friendly staff. The complaints about the dryers not being the best are technically accurate, but it’s cheap so it’s not a big deal at all. Staff was helpful even though I know basically zero Japanese. Held our bags after check-in since we had some time before our flight. 100% would stay again. Fair price and great location.
