From the time I arrived, I felt comfortable. Security was in the parking lot to ensure the property was secure and people not staying at the hotel were escorted away. The check in process was very quick and easy. All staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, stocked with all items needed and comfortable. The Nepali culture intertwined with eminent hospitality at the Basera Boutique Hotel. I highly recommend this as the first hotel of your stay in Kathmandu, as you recover from jetlag. The streaming services on the TV will help you feel like you're at home, and there's a rooftop pool and restaurant with a complimentary cultural show so you don't have to leave the hotel to have some low-key fun and uniquely Nepali entertainment!

Attractive, brand-new boutique hotel, on quiet street in very safe neighborhood. Close to nice cafes, restaurants, and shopping district. The area attracts quite a few expats who work in local NGO’s. Easy taxi ride to Pātan Durbar Square but you can also walk. Fifteen-minute taxi ride to Thamel and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Would stay here again over better-known and loud Thamel tourist neighborhood.

This is the 5th hotel of its price class I have stayed in when visiting Kathmandu over the years, and it is by far the best. Comfortable and clean!! Helpful owners and staff, homey. Brand new. Everything was amazing at the hotel. The staff was so helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the room was very comfortable. The only suggestion for improvement that I have is to upgrade the toilets. They were kind of disgusting to look at.

Very nice resort like hotel, great food options, eating space, and rooms. A lot of great views from the mountain top and even from the hotel rooms with balcony's (you can see the sunrise with the mountains like Everest even from there)
