The hotel itself was luxurious without being pretentious, the staff was so very helpful, it is centrally located to beach in Ballybunion, sightseeing in Killarney and the ring of Kerry, and a short drive to Adare and neighboring sights. One of the extras I loved was the fitness room, spa and relaxation room. Great breakfast spread and dining options right at the hotel before and after a day out sightseeing. ...

EXCELLENT stay! We arrived extremely late after a long day sightseeing. We were greeted by an extremely friendly front desk clerk (wish I got his name) who immediately checked us in.
The following morning, we went in search of the Castles dog. We found him doing his job, right in front of the castles entrance! Grounds were lovely, Irish people have to be the absolute kindest people on earth!

We stayed in a triple room. The bathroom was extremely small for three. Breakfast room was almost too sunny. Everything else was wonderful. Great food, nice beds, good wifi and close to the village.
Excellent choice. Our best night in Ireland. Beautifully maintained facility with a large quiet room which was really a suite with an excellent breakfast. This gets my highest recommendation.
We had a nice stay at The James Hotel and it was very close to many restaurants and shops including a short walk to the Brandon Conference Center. The staff were very helpful and easy to work with. I would stay her again.
