Lister Arms
10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved The Lister Arms! The perfect Dales pub. Great atmosphere, dog-friendly, amazing food and such lovely staff. Ideal base after a long walk around Malham Cove. 10/10 - thank you to all the team!"
The Skipton Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We arrived quite early and although the check in was 4pm our room was ready so we were able to get in very early and quickly. The staff were all helpful and friendly throughout. The large room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The bar and restaurant had seating areas overlooking the canal and another with a terrace at the front. We were only there for one night but would be very happy to go again if we visit Skipton. The location was good and also only a few minutes drive from the town centre."
Herriots
8/10 Good
"We stayed in the house next door rather than the hotel itself. The room was large and had good en-suite facilities. Although a couple in a double room, we couldn't get two keys to the room and had to use the key-safe on the side of the house. So whoever arrives first has to extract the keys, open the main door to the house, open the bedroom door, return to the key-safe and re-deposit the keys, hoping that another guest hasn't closed the door to the house or gone wandering into the bedroom in the meantime. When the second guest arrives, the same procedure has to be gone through or you have to bang on the window in the hope that your wife has arrived and isn't sleeping heavily. Here's an idea - have another set of keys cut to avoid all this. Breakfast was good. What wasn't so good was the easy-listening music that was piped through to you while having breakfast. Perhaps the owners think they are running a supermarket."
The Devonshire Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent staff and Brasserie. Public areas could do with a refresh in some areas. Pillows need replacing. Breakfast excellent. Staff very helpful with suggestions of walks etc in the area."
Craven Heifer
10/10 Excellent
"Really friendly staff in the Hotel pub. We only stayed a single night and ate both our evening meal and had a breakfast in the morning. This was all to a very good standard."
