Upon driving through the gates, we were enchanted. The grounds were lovely, with a pool
and patio area. The hotel itself was an elegant and old fashion mansion style of yesteryear, which gave it's charm. The gold molding and portrait paintings throughout were very elegant. It was great to have a staff suggest a dining experience for both dinner and breakfast at hotel. Amazing 5course meal, and breakfast buffet-truly a French experience extraordinaire! We enjoyed a pleasant one night stay here. With advanced notice, we arrived late and we were able to get the key to our apartment through the lockbox near the office. The apartment was very spacious for my family of 5. What was really nice was being able to park in a designated space right in front of the entrance which made bringing in luggage very easy. They also gave us a late check out since we arrived late which we appreciated. My kids enjoyed the onsite playground before we left.
What a great find, just out enough to rest and relax yet close to Eguisheim, Colmar, and castle ruin hikes. Our room was wonderful and very well maintained. The restaurant was great too! The private balcony was nice and we always enjoy more than one chair in the room, we had three! All the staff were personal especially our afternoon receptionist (curly hair) so very pleasant. Bed, pillows, internet, great and a dark room to sleep too, this was a great find and a great three night stay.
Great place,on the side from all the Hussle but still very close. The road to the hotel is a treat to drive on its own. Very nice place, I highly recommend it

Only small detail - nobody around. One has to self-checkin with a code.
In our case the code arrived only hours after checkin time. Surely a mistake.
Luckily the owner happened to show up after 15 minutes. (There is a phone number, but we did not have a European cell phone).
This hotel was small but perfect! It was pristine with great amenities; restraint served authentic local cuisine, every recommended dish I tried d was delicious. Location had cute cafes around and hotel was directly across from an art studio which was a pleasant surprise and added bonus. -Sylvia
