The room we had, admittedly the cheapest option, had a strange layout, with the toilet across a small double bed from the rest of the bath. Worst of all, there was only a tub, 3 feet off the floor, with a handheld shower nozzle-- which is hard for an older couple. Chateau De Maraval was just the castle experience we wanted from the medieval region from France. We were on a girl's trip and were provided two rooms that were beautifully furnished and stocked up. All the interiors was tastefully done. Outside of the castle is medieval but the rooms were with modern amenities. It was like living the best of two worlds. The property is well maintained.
