"The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and provided us with handy information about where to go and dine on Xmas Eve/Day and attractions around the city. The facilities were very modern and the décor was artistic. The breakfast got a good variety and was high quality. The location was superb (super close to train station and shopping district). Highly recommended!"
"This is a superb hotel. We stayed for 4 nights in December and enjoyed ourselves tremendously.
The prison conversion has been accomplished to a very high standard with loads of original features incorporated: cast iron stairs, the chapel and even an isolation cell.
The rooms were warm and comfortable, being decorated to a high standard.
Breakfast was included at our rate and proved to be excellent with plenty of choice, including Finnish specialities.
We ate dinner at the hotel on 2 occasions as it was included and suited our plans. It was a buffet and perfectly pleasant, but not exceptional. Fika (afternoon tea and cake) was a lovely touch and very welcome on a cold day.
Staff were friendly, helpful and naturally spoke faultless English.
The number 4 tram stops right outside and takes you directly to the city centre at least every 7 minutes.

"The shower and bed were top notch. I wish my shower worked that well at home. Lol. When I told front desk that I needed a taxi to the airport at 4am he actually reserved me a taxi and told me the price I would pay for the ride and then he said he would get me some breakfast before I left. A couple of hours later ten minutes before 4am I saw this decent breakfast spread in the lobby (something far better than I could make). I quickly got a coffee and yogurt. I easily could have eaten more things there. That's the kind of service that's exceptional and if I'm back in Helsinki I will be staying at this hotel again. Thank you for your excellent service."
