We absolutely loved our stay at Tambor del Llano! The inn, grounds, and farm are lovely and peaceful. We spent 2 nights and we wish we had booked at least 3 nights. We rode their wonderful horses, ate delicious meals, and truly enjoyed just spending time at the inn and and on the grounds. We could explore the fun and busy nearby white villages, but we were always so happy to return to our "home" at Tambor.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for local sightseeing and places to eat. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The settings in a beautiful valley was very quiet and relaxing.
Tip: don't take dirt road from main road that Google maps recommends. Rough road! Keep driving past the turn to new route that will start with asphalt road when you turn off of the main road. This road turns into much easier dirt road.
Very well located, a little off the main street, and very charming. Nice clean room with character and with incredible view of the gorge and mountains. Close to the hiking paths down into the gorge; everywhere easily walkable. Worth having dinner at the restaurant on the hotel terrace. The only unpleasantness was that smoking was allowed on the terrace even during dinner. We would stay at Montelirio again if we were ever to return to Ronda.
Hotel Ronda is charming and full of character. It's in the old town and everything is within walking distance. Parking is a bit inconvenient, but we felt it was worth it. Staying at Hotel Ronda made us feel more like residents as opposed to tourists. The photos say it all.
