While I do quite a bit of business travel, this stay was during the vacation, when I visited my son at TUM in Garching. We picked the end of September to stay at the hotel. Since the hotel does not have air conditioning we were concerned, but at the end of September, the weather was perfect! The room was really cool and they provided a fan before we checked in. Could not have asked for a better hotel. Hotel was in fabulous location just off Marienplatz. It was cute, had little pastries on check in. The breakfast was good and had a nice breakfast room. Perfect base to explore central Munich and super close to U and S bahn stop. Sad I only stayed one night. Would definitely stay longer in the future.
Very nice place to stay in Munich. Centrally located for public transportation and in a safe area. The highlight is the breakfast spread — make sure you take advantage of what they offer for a good start to your day. Wonderful people taking care of you, especially Avni. As an experienced traveler, I've become very picky about the places I stay and felt the K&K Hotel was perfect. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and was very comfortable. First trip to Germany, and my wife and I stayed here to enjoy Oktoberfest! Couple of quick tips and notes:
1) You're a 5 minute walk to the main Oktoberfest venue, which is a series of huge tents where people drink and sing all day. You won't need an Uber to get around the main areas of the city.
