I was a little worried during the taxi ride to the hotel that I had made a terrible mistake in picking the hotel as some of the areas look a little rough (by American standards), however, once at the gated hotel I realized that I indeed had made a good choice when choosing the location as the property is incredibly calming and beautiful. Just know that since you are out of the city you will need to use Uber eat or a taxi to get food as there is no onsite restaurant.

We absolutely loved our stay at Serenity Ecolodge. The owner, Cindy, was incredibly attentive and made sure everything was perfect. The breakfast was delicious, and the lodge is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery. It was truly an unforgettable vacation.
This property was absolutely wonderful from the amenities to the very nice staff to the beautiful location. Keep in mind that the hotel is about 20 to 30 minutes from the city area and taxis can get expensive however this hotel is worth it. If you’re looking to feel what it’s like to live in Costa Rica then this place is for you! It’s a property that has been turned into 14 rooms and it sits at the top of a hill overlooking all of the San José valley and the view is breathtaking!! Super quiet and very relaxing place, Lino, the property manager was great and helped us with everything we needed. This place was everything we wanted on our trip and we will be definitely coming back!
