"I had the most amazing stay at the Dorsett for my birthday. The executive rooms are amazing, as was the canapés in the evening and the wonderful staff who made my stay special. You have access to the facilities at the Star as well."

Positives:
- food choice
- ABBA show in theatre
- locality to Broadbeach
- better customer service this time, felt like a customer, not someone who owed gratitude to customer service reps.
Not so Positives:
- ABBA show 1st half, the sound setup wrong, couldn't hear the singers
- room toilet too low for sitting
- no fresh orange at breakfast, and would have preferred English Bacon.
If it wasn't for the 'Not so positives', would have rated 5*"
"We were able to check in early and offered free parking as some unexpected council water works were proceeding that night. Our child then fell critically ill needing hospitalization by pure chance. Cant thank the night duty guy enough who went above and beyond to help change bedding at 3am and provide extra linen. Prior to this full kitchen and views to ocean and generous living space were enjoyed!"
"The office ladies were SO NICE! They were really helpful with any requests I had and made sure I got in safe when checking in late.
The room was great. Perfect location for those attending the exhibition center."
"Cleanliness could be vastly improved. The floor was sticky, and when we tried to wipe it after dripping some water on the floor, the wipes came up black. Housekeeping is bare minimum (literally only changing of towels and making of beds), and they didn't even do that well. We had two rooms, and they only changed the towels in one on one of the nights. When we discovered that we were short of towels, there was no way to contact anyone because the front desk was closed, and there was no phone in the room to call anyone. Stay if you don't care about cleanliness."
