Barlovento is a gem near Tayrona. One almost doesn’t need to leave the property to get the real jungle beach experience. However, it is a perfect home base for your adventure. We had a great stay at Yachay. The staff is very caring. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious. The hotel is surrounded by nature and therefore very relaxing. I wished there was a larger pool but we appreciated the jacuzzi and made good use of it. The hotel is very close to the entrance of the park but has some steep stairs, therefore not for people with mobility issues. You have to get tickets for the park as the hotel is inside the park. Entrance to the park is only until 3 pm so...
