It was nice to be in a hotel with a large seating area in the foyer, which was being utilised a lot. In some hotels you don't see another soul and it can feel quite isolating.

"The room was incredible with lots of thoughtful touches from the wonderful staff. The building is stunning and in a fantastic location. Just be aware that it's heritage listed so you can hear other guests (there are signs asking for quiet and ear plugs are provided) and there are a couple of flights of stairs from the carpark to the top floor; people with mobility issues may find it difficult. We loved our stay and would gladly go back!"

Clean room, charming house with a nice mix of traditional and modern. Excellent breakfast. At first the lack of staff unnerved me but help was easily available and so friendly.
The breakfast was quite adequate, continental style with exactly the items I normally would have at home. Bed was really comfortable and very quiet. Enjoyed walking up & down those hills.

We had a lovely spacious apartment on the top (3rd) floor with fantastic views of the marina and scenery beyond. The parking was very convenient and close. We appreciated the free Anvers truffles in the foyer. The washing machine and dryer were very useful and a great amenity at that stage of our lap of Tasmania.
Front desk and Guest Services were welcoming and helpful. facilities were clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Golf and tennis were closed for renovation, but the driving range was really fun.
Reception was very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. There are a number of steps up to the hotel from parking but there is an entrance on the side where someone could be dropped off/picked up if they couldn't manage the steps. The room was very clean and my bed was very cozy and comfortable. I walked to the park with the monkeys which was very close, then downtown and then to the gorge along the zigzag trail and back which made for a long walk but was doable!
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Room, bathroom were clean. Bed was comfy. Fridge had milk . Nescafé coffee pods were excellent. The restaurant on the premises had good choices. There are several eateries just in walking distance. Front desk staff are friendly and polite.
