Review, it is hard to get a real review. Well this place is the real deal. Everything from the moment we arrived to the day we left was first class. The presentation and quality of food was done with care and love. They are incredible ambassadors for the town and for the hosbitality industry . The staff was was extremely helpful with any questions and needs we had. If you are planning on going to St. Ives this where you need to stay.
The staff were beyond helpful and kind. One of the guys who worked there (sadly I didn't catch his name! But he was youngish with light hair) was extremely welcoming and we enjoyed chatting with him.
The cleanliness was okay. They did not change the towels and it was a tad dusty. The window only opened slightly but it brought in air and cleared out the musky smell. I mean, it's an old hotel. We didn't expect gold.

I really enjoyed my three night stay here. The room was spacious, and came with a bottle of water and a biscuit. It was centrally located to explore the south coast of Cornwall. Saint Michael’s Mount is a mile and a half away. You can catch the bus right outside or walk if you don’t mind it. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure and heat. The grounds of this property are very beautiful. We met the one man who cares for this property and he and his wife were lovely. Anyone staying here should definitely take advantage of the beauty and spend as much time outside as possible.
Most Beautiful scenery from back where you can have open dining. Very friendly staff. We requested vegetarian, Chef added this to menu. We needed pizza one night and again Chef made it available. It was a delightful two night stay with a full Cornish breakfast. It seemed to have been renovated recently. Very clean and up to date. Location was excellent - a 3 minute walk from the train station and bus depot. Belinda and Bob were wonderful hosts. Would definitely reserve again on any future trip to Penzance.
