Room was clean and quiet. Location is directly across from the promenade so it very convenient to the beach and for walking to dinner. Also an excellent place to run. A 10 -15 minute walk from the train station. Trains were an easy connection for Pisa and the Cinque Terra. Short distance from a laundromat and shopping. Breakfast buffet was excellent and they also offered (included, no extra charge) made to order items on a menu. Ate one night in the hotel restaurant and it was very good.
This is a fabulous, stylish hotel decorated in beautiful neutral colours but the staff in particular are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. There is no restaurant as such but the breakfast is super and we enjoyed the light lunches they offer. It is rated as a four star hotel but compared to other four stars we have stayed at in Italy, this hotel is far superior. (We also stayed in the last week of the season so the hotel was competitively priced compared to spring and summer).

Just had 24 hours to spend in Lucca. It was a great stay, the staff was very helpful from the moment we arrived. Franco, who took us to our room doubles as the hotel bartender at night. Beautiful hotel a block from the beach, Our room was very big, extremely clean and the beds were foam, which was a welcome change from previous hotels that had beds as hard as could be. Breakfast was very nice - eggs, ham, cold cuts, cheese, pate, juice, cappuccino, nutella, jam, cereal, cakes and breads/croissants. Short walk to walled city, safe neighborhood but most of all fantastic staff. I have never seen a group of people that are so kind, helpful and willing to do anything for their customers. We had an incident that required an ambulance in the very early hours of the morning. The night desk shift manager took such good care of us, calling ambulance, explaining to us in English what was going to happen.
