"Our stay in Amarela Resort turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit to Bohol. The whole place is ART. The attention to detail was astounding! The staff were all warm, friendly, and helpful. If you ever plan to stay in Amarela resort, please take the time to walk the grounds -- they have an art gallery, beautiful walkways, a library, a massage hut, a garden, an infinity pool, a magnificent view of the sunrise, etc. The surrounding area is peaceful. I will definitely stay here again the...
"The hotel staff was not mean, but they was not welcoming. The staff placed copy of my passport on the wall on a clip board for anyone that came could see my personnel information. I asked the staff the remove the copy of my passport from the wall, but they refused. My room smelled like mold. Plus, no one clean my room for my entire reservation. They are better affordable places in the area. I would not recommend anyone this place."

If you can't wait to get to the beach, you might enjoy a trip to Dumaluan Beach located 4.3 mi (6.9 km) from central Panglao. Spend the afternoon at the beach and head to one of the restaurants for a bite to eat. Catch the sunset by the shore at White Beach, just a short walk away.
Stayed here from Jul 6-Jul 10. Let me start by saying that I’ve traveled to a lot of places in the Caribbean and South Palms beat all them without a doubt! This place is excellent and the service is impeccable! Unlike places I’ve been to where the staff only care about tips so they would act interested, South Palms staff genuinely are attentive, hospitable, caring, helpful, and friendly. All without expecting any tips whatsoever! They just show up willingly and you’ll feel so at ease with...
This was my 3rd stay at North Zen Villas and it remains a blissful place to be at. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The resort’s SEADS restaurant covers breakfast, lunch and dinner serving delicious food. The sunset view is spectacular from @ NZV as well. Best place to be in Panglao island.
This is the cleanest and most well maintained hotel I have been to yet in the Philippines. It was wonderful. The landscaping and gardens are gorgeous.
The staff was also very, very friendly amd helpful. They arranged transportation and even a boat tour for us.
The restaurant was also very clean and well maintained. The prices were reasonable and while the food was nothing fantastic, it was still far above average.
If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely stay here again.
Where do I even begin! From arrival to departure my experience at Epic Suites have been nothing but an absolute amazing experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. My private king suite villa with the floating breakfast was an absolute vibe! I had two massages and both were sooo good I fell asleep both times. I’m definitely coming back and coming back with a group of women who deserves this type of treatment as I host my next retreat. I just recommend bringing...
Clean room, helpful staff and the breakfast was fantastic every morning! One thing I’d caution about is the shuttle runs from the hotel to the airport. They’re incredibly expensive (1k pesos) just to get to the airport, which was only about 10-15 minutes away. Other than that, the hotel was excellent.
Hammocks on the beach have nets around the coconuts so they don't fall on your head, staff smiles and says hello good morning how was your day, the grounds are manicured with no detail spared, the pool invites you for a swim, a beautiful beach, they have bacon for breakfast, they have an art gallery to enjoy paintings and a ping pong table, the tours arranged from the front desk are with your own driver and they are kind patient and knowledgeable, they have a DVD library to catch up on movies ......
I’m writing this as an American tourist that has been to all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and Costa Rica a few times (to help you American readers compare). This resort is 5 stars. Staff is very nice and helpful. The beach itself is amazing. Clear waters, white soft sand. Just watch out for the sea urchins. Staff can give you more details about that. They have some kayaks available for 30 minute rental too. Pools are nice and clean. The breakfast buffet is better than any buffet I’ve ate at in...
The room was wondeful! I stayed in the dormitory that I shared with 5 other people. Our mattres were on the floor which was bamboo. Each dorm was separated by white curtains. The windows had white curtains too. The bed had white mosquito net. The whole effect was calming and wonderful. The staff were very friendly. The vegetations and floweres also affected the atmosphere of the resort positively.
The only bad thing about this hotel is the transportation. They have only one shuttle to alona beach and the taxi arragements are overpriced. Better take a tricicle.
This place is old, a strong country feel. If you are into 5 star treatment its not for you.i have spiders and gecko in my bathroom. You could only hear crickets and lizards. The room is spacious, and very old feel. That makes it so special. My balcony view has a forest vibe.green garden and blooms every where. You must try their home made ice cream..to die for! And their “ calamay”. The restaurant has the best organic everything. I had “ arroz caldo” twice in a row in the morning. The coffee?...
