"The staff was very friendly but the tv was own and it was hard to figure out how to use netflix and amazon prime. The toaster could use cleaning, fridge as well. Shower head had rust build up, the door could be sealed properly to prevent lizards from getting in. Shaff was very friendly very kind helpful and was prompt with their response on room service and other accommodations"

"We will really miss this place. It's a small hotel with just a few rooms so it feels personal and uncrowded. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious and the pool is very inviting. And the location is good, a few minutes away from all the cafes restaurants, bars and Alona beach. What more can I say, we loved it ❤️. Tip: Ask for Melvin the Tuktuk driver, he took us all around Panglao and Bohol during our trip and he is very helpful, honest and very reasonably priced."

"This place is like Heaven. Don't let the proximity to the airport dissuade you. Did not hear one plane the entire week we were there. The staff was amazing. (Special shout-out to Nadine you're the best!!!) The tropical layout with the most amazing pool I've ever seen, coming right up to your balcony makes it super relaxing and convenient. The food is wonderful with 90 entrees at extremely affordable prices. You won't be disappointed with The Roman Empire. We will definitely be coming back."

"The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The room we had was lovely and it had an outdoor space to sit which was lovely in the evening. The food was good and the breakfast spread was amazing with a lot of things cooked fresh in front of you. The hotel feels tucked away which made it peaceful but it’s only a short walk to the hub of Alona Beach. The bonus is they have a happy hour with 2 for 1 on the selected cocktail and also offer a free foot massage on certain days!"

"Ok, this property is not a resort, just a few rooms behind the bar. I liked it due to location, right on Alona beach, within steps of multiple dive shops, restaurants and suri suri next door. Room was clean, newly remodeled, beautiful bathroom, roomy with sink, mini fridge and hot plate. Pool looked ok, but never used it. Staff is the owners family, very attentive and helpful. The owner Chris is friendly, and has great connections to set up tours or private cars almost any time of the day. Only downside is that the bar up front is different ownership, and has his House Band (Hard Rock/Heavy Metal) play every night of the week except Tuesday. The Best Western next door has loud techno music or band from 6-9 and the House Band, just steps away, plays from 9-11. If you’re there to party, or plan on being out every night till 11, it’s probably not an issue. If you want a quiet peaceful place, it’s not for you. Actually even difficult to watch television it’s so loud. Make sure to bring earplugs if you want to sleep before 11 pm. As stated everything, is excellent, except for the noise level, and if you’re a late night person, that’s probably not an issue. By the way, the band is fantastic, very talented."
