What a beautiful place! The building used to be a monastery, and it still has a small but gorgeous chapel. The service was excellent, breakfast had a lot of variety, and the restaurant for dinner was tasty. Location wise it's perfect. It's a 5 minute drive to the town Cangas de Onis, where you can take the buses up to Covadonga and the lakes, and also explore the town, which is very pretty. Tons of good restaurants there too. I would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful place to stay when visiting the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect for hiking, horseback riding, or simply for relaxing on the terrace. I will definitely come back.
Beautiful room with tall ceilings and comfortable bed. The hotel is nice and right next to the church. It was very cold and they don't have heat in the summer so Maria at the front desk let me borrow her personal space heater to help me. She was amazing! Great restaurant as well.
Hotel Babú is like a retreat! It is a lovely, peaceful location near the mountains and sea. The breakfast overlooking the pastures and garden was exquisite. And hearing cowbells first thing in the morning was so charming. We had a fabulous experience at this property. The service was impeccable. The wonderful front desk host also stored our luggage for us which was above and beyond!!!!
The front desk staff was absolutely wonderful and treated my dog like royalty. I brought him as a pet because he is my wife’s registered service dog, yet he has never been treated that well!
I reserved the economy room, which was just fine for one night. The only issue I encountered was the steam heater in the bathroom was on when I checked in and it took it a very long time to cool down. Luckily, there was a fan in the room, and with the window open it was fine. If you like your room, cool...

A small, but very clean room. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast choices were already on the table with many choices. A hot dish can be ordered. I hope food items not selected from the platters are not disposed of, as it would be in the States. That's why food trays are not placed on US breakfast tables in the manner done here.
