"I picked this property for a last minute overnight stay on the way to Bogota and arrived after hours having only reserved via Expedia 15 minutes before. Upon arriving at the property, there was some skepticism about whether I had a reservation but eventually they were able to confirm it. I got the vibe that the surrounding areas may not be as safe at night and hence they were cautious at my unexpected arrival. Although check-in was slow due to the aforementioned reasons, Doña Lucy was quite helpful. The hotel is quite an oasis in the midst of a busy, dusty town. The room was ample, clean and with good lighting and air conditioning. The bathroom was dated and had screened but fixed open ventilation which negated the air conditioning in the room (so I kept the bathroom door closed). The room had very pretty artwork as did the rest of the property. Although, I did not use the pool, or the spa, the amenities were far above what you might expect for the rate and location. The social area was beautiful comprised of a traditional large event space with a very high ceiling, straw thatch roof, dark wooden poles. I had coffee there before leaving the property early the following morning. The"
