"After a flight from Auckland to Perth, then a seamless transition into the train to the city, followed by a short walk from the railway station we were warmly welcomed to the Alex and checked in to our room for two nights en route to a cruise from Fremantle. We enjoyed the comfy bed and small hotel vibe and found the location perfect. A glass of free bubbles on our second night was appreciated (due to Silver Status) and also the bottles of locally filtered ice cold water to take to our room. ...

"The Melbourne Hotel was an excellent choice for our one week stay in Perth, the hotel effectively combines 1800s architecture with modern architecture to give a comfortable atmosphere for sleeping and dining. Breakfasts were good and the Japanese noodle restaurant was oh, so delicious and inexpensive. Location was perfect, only a five minute walk from Elizabeth Street and Murray Street malls with plenty of restaurants along the way. And several bus stops practically at the door. And great...
