"We arrived late and soaking wet due to weather and transport issues. Our host kept in communication and stayed back to meet us and provided extra towels and a warm welcome. Location was opposite the bus station which made arrival and departure easy. Local bus was a 20 minute ride to the old town. Restaurants and supermarkets close by."
"Breakfast was included, which was at a local café, where the food was good. The apartment is very close to where the boats leave to do the island day tours, and also in walking distance to the main bus station. The old town is only about 10 minutes away by bus, and that bus stop for that is also very close by.
An excellent stay."
"Just what we needed for a quick stay before boarding our cruise. Close to the port but still not too far from the old city, clean, well appointed. Be advised 'sea/ocean view' is technically right, but it means craning your neck around to the right to see it :) Staff was super helpful, and breakfast was tasty!"
"This is a terrific place to stay in Dubrovnik. It's a quick bus ride into the old city, but far enough away to avoid the huge crowds that show up every day. The staff is lovely and helpful, and the restaurant below is the only vegan restaurant we could find in the city. They also do a lot of gluten free items so it's terrific for people on limited diets. It's not intended to be a high-touch hotel - these are rooms above a cafe - so don't expect concierge service 24/7. The price is fabulous for clean, modern, roomy, recently renovated bedrooms with a beautiful view. I highly recommend - fabulous experience and value."
"Lovely clean room with air con. I had separate shower room. Cleaned every day. Breakfast every morning had lots of choice with homemade cake. Nina even made me a packed lunch for an early morning trip I was going on."
"Jele Rooms is a great place for solo travelers visiting Dubrovnik. It is clean, quiet, and set apart from the bustle of the Old Town area, but one can walk to Old Town or the harbor from the property, or use public transportation with stops close by the rooms. I was pleased that the staff offered transportation to and from the airport for an added charge, which eliminated the added stress for the traveler to line up a taxi, (and possibly be overcharged, which many people report happening to them). The room I rented was very basic, but it was clean and safe, which is all one really needs. It provides a refrigerator and kitchen supplies so you can save money and fix meals in your room using the grocery stores nearby. On the evening of my first night in Dubrovnik, I needed assistance with something at around 10pm. I called the number given to me from the property owners and was given immediate assistance even despite the late phone call. I recommend Jele Rooms as an economical, convenient option for travelers visiting Dubrovnik"
