It's worth staying here just for the view. Happily there's more reasons than that though. We spent 3 nights at Lagou Raxi and we all loved it, including my teens. The views from the hotel are spectacular whether you are on your room balcony, eating a meal on the porch or relaxing at the pool. The hotel is like a little oasis. This "resort" is a rectangular strip of land about 40 paces wide and 200 long with the short edge bordering a country road across which is the sea. When I visited there was no beach to talk about. The property is rather isolated in a cluster of houses and similar properties. There are about 5 large cabins on the property and a pool that would be crowded with 20 people in it . First off, the Pelion region has forever changed my view of Greece! The roads are a bit tricky to drive, but as long as you relax and take it slowly, you will be rewarded with a lush, amazing journey of sea and mountains! The building is beautiful and for those arriving on the gorgeous old train, it overlooks the terminal station. The restaurant is great, and the outdoor grill smells wonderful. This was a beautiful hotel with large comfortable rooms and great amenities. The breakfast was great with a nice selection. We were given an upgrade upon arrival which made it nice traveling with two children. The rooms were very clean and the location was great. This is a great little town with lots of beach front dining and a couple of places to shop. The community is very welcoming to tourists and the food at every restaurant or cafe we tried was great! Would return and recommend.
