Beautiful room with large windows to let light in. Delicious breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and many options. Nice spa and restaurant on site. A little walk from the old town area, and no restaurants nearby.
Although the hotel didn’t have a restaurant, it had a very good kitchen area with refrigerators, a microwave, utensil's, coffe cups, glasses, a sink and an excellent machine to make to tea, coffee, or cappuccinos. In addition, it had a great relationship with another hotel where dinner could be delivered in 50 minutes (I had baked cod and it was delicious).

I arrived going to be a technical university conference as a Plenary speaker, in May. The hotel directed me to use the Polish tram system, to a location Gdansk Technical university 10 kilometers away, thereby saving me at least 100 USD in three days of non stop travel all over Gdansk, and the morning breakfast was a REAL meal, which turned into my daily MAIN meal. In all the staff was the most professional I have dealt with in Europe as of the last 2 years . Hotel service was in all levels...
This is an absolutely incredible hotel. It is very nice and modern. It is in a great location. The staff is very nice and helpful. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Gdansk. My only comment to people considering this hotel is that there are four rooms on the fourth floor and the elevator only goes to the third floor.
We loved our stay in Gdansk at the Podewils. It is slightly out of the main historic district, and hence very quiet, although the main district is available with a 5 minute walk. The staff and ownership of the hotel and restaurant are very friendly and eager to help in all ways. The location of this hotel is excellent, but as Rick Steves notes in his guidebook, it’s a very basic accommodation. My room stank like a wet dog, so I slept with my windows open to air out the place. I thought it was the carpet at first, but the stench was permeated in the mattress and in the mornings my pjs and I also smelled of it. This is an attractive and well located property on the river. Our room was small but fine for a short stay. The lines to seek check-in or out could be long. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again although I’m a Hilton Honors status person. Was staying here because family was here.
