"We wanted a few days of seclusion and Hotel El Risco was perfect for this, It is off the beaten path but in another year or so there will be more connection to this little corner of Oaxaca as the government has ramped up construction on the roads. We came here in off season and were the only guests. The staff primarily speak Spanish but dictionaries and translation apps gave us a great opportunity to communicate and get to know them. Yvonne and her staff were great, made us feel like family. Beach was awesome, we had the place to ourselves… perfect for winding down… we are planning to return in a couple of months!
