Radisson Collection Hotel, Basilica Budapest
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent staff, a wonderful, speedy early check-in, a beautiful property, and a fantastic location! From the beds and pillows to the beautiful room, a totally five-star stay!"
"We stayed for 5 nights in room 2209 in block 2. Our stay was close to perfection in a fantastic location. At all times the staff in the reception was courteous and very helpful as well as highly professional.. A free welcome drink was offered to each one of us in the bar - a nice touch. Free cold drinks were on offer in the foyer with pastries and snacks which was very welcomed in the heatwave.
Breakfast consisted of a great choice, was a little chaotic at busy times but considering the variety on offer and the shape of the restaurant it was well managed. The room itself was immaculate, clean, well designed, the shower and aircon worked perfectly and the bed was so comfortable - 10/10. Note that this room was right above a noisy bar which played a variety of music from soft guitar to loud party pop. It finished promptly at 11pm every day.
All in all, a perfect stay and we will stay again if we are in Budapest again."
"Breakfast offer was outrageously expense. If purchasing the breakfast package we had to purchase for entire stay. We were leaving very early on the lay day and didn’t have time for breakfast. At $40 euro per day and we didn’t have time, that’s ridiculous that you couldn’t make an exception. Your other exception was $35 euro EACH for breakfast. I couldn’t eat $35 euro of food. Way overpriced with no other option. Just because of that probably will choose a different hotel next time. You have no flexibility!"
"The hotel is in a great central location, so it was easy to get around and explore the city on foot. The breakfast had plenty of fresh and tasty options, and everything was well stocked each morning. Our room was very clean, and housekeeping did a great job throughout our stay. The only downside was that the room was quite small, and there wasn't much space to unpack or store our clothes. Other than that, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again."
"Great suite comfortable bed, great amenities
Staff generally were excellent. Marcel on the bar was great and very good to talk to. Didn’t do the Spa and our rate didn’t include breakfast.
Had an issue with the TV in the lounge area of the suite. Informed reception but unfortunately it wasn’t fixed until the last day of our stay. I did explain the reason for booking the suite was so I could watch the football without disrupting my wife. So in fact the extra area of the room was useless as the tv couldn’t get a signal and only 1channel was available. Just had continuous apologies daily but took too long to put right. Felt we should have received a discount off the room price or at least an offer. But felt we were just put off day after day. 4 nights there and only the last night with a working TV in the lounge area. Otherwise the stay was great we enjoyed Budapest and the hotel other than the tv was very good. It just spoilt the trip a little as we felt we didn’t get what we paid for. David"
