The location, Makunduchi, is very calm. It's perfect for those who want some rest. The hotel facilities are simple but clean, organized and comfortable. I got impressed with the Wi-fi connection in the rooms. It's very good considering the location is far from Stone Town. Not the best connection but quite fast and reliable.

Don't hire tours (Blue Safari, Stone Town, etc.) thru the local hotels because they are more expensive than if you negotiate...
This was a nice property very close to the beach. The owner was super nice and involved. He showed us around and showed us where to eat in the area. The only downside was the shower which had salty water so when you showered it was like showering with ocean water.
The reviews on this place did not serve it justice! I was blown away at the amenities that were not mentioned. When you arrive you are greeted with a welcome drink and cleansing towel. There is a restaurant on site and you basically get a concierge that you can message whenever you need something. They even provide a grocery list of things they can shop for you and will do your laundry (both for a fee). Shuttle to sister hotel to go to the beach was a good plus (no fee). Staff was...
I stayed for four nights. Getting there from the airport is best by taxi. You can coordinate with the hotel to get a driver to pick you up for $35. Otherwise, the airport taxis will charge you up to $60 for a one way trip. The town of Jambiani very poor and there's nothing to see. However, the beaches are very nice. The hotel offers free breakfast and it's excellent. The restaurant offers a lot of food options, but they never have anything fresh, most if frozen. I only ate breakfast and...
Our family had an amazing time at this property. The staff was always engaged and friendly. Quiet and peaceful area. 1 minute walk to beach and to numerous places to eat. We ate dinner at a different type of cuisine each night. The pool was beautiful. Breakfast made to order whenever we arrived. Gym and spa available. Staff always eager to give advice and just ask how our day is going and if we need anything. I would definitely stay here again.

I don’t think there’s a better place to stay in Pingwe. This place has the most dreamy views you’ll ever experience in Zanzibar. The staff is impeccable! The bed and breakfast was just perfect. Honestly, everything in me wants to gate keep this place! I’d also want to share more but I also don’t want to give away too much to maintain the pleasant element of surprise. Please, trust your gut like I did and book. Best decision I’ve ever made on a hotel.
