El agua de la pileta siempre estaba calentita y al estar abierta hasta las 22hs permitía disfrutarla todos los días.

The room was very nice and as described. The staff was able to communicate clearly through WhatsApp and translation apps for English speakers. It was a great all around experience.
I would highly recommend Toca Da Praia. The Pousada is cute and comfortable with an amazing pool/common area and delicious breakfast. The staff are super friendly and accommodating as well. I was so impressed with everything they provided.

Owners are there to personally ensure that our needs and requests were met. Owners and staff are highly personable and a joy to be around. Other guests seemed pleasant. The beach is incredible, and there is more to this city than meets the eye. For instance, some neighborhoods feature a vibrant night life. But its easy to avoid entirely if that's not your thing. Next time we will visit the waterfalls and some of the other area attractions.
Maresias is one of the several seaside villages along the coast between Rio de Janeiro and Santos on the Rio-Santos highway. Not far from Paraty and Ilha Bela, the two most popular and exclusive spots along this gorgeous stretch. The hotel was a good choice (thank you Hotels.com), the beach right in front is where reignning World Surfing Champion, Gabriel Medina comes from and local merchants are really proud of his achievements on the beaches of Hawaii in 2014.
