"It was great for the price, the room was relatively clean, and the parking lot was a big plus in Sydney. The guest laundry was functional, clean, and much cheaper than local laundromats. We had a water leak in the room that we didn't discover until the very last day (it was small and in a corner), it had caused a bit of a musty smell in the room but I don't believe it would have been there had the leak been identified. There is no elevator in this hotel so ask for ground floor if that matters...

"I was worried that the room would be noisy, but it was absolutely quiet even on the weekends. Very conveniently located across from Sydenham station for metro, train, and bus access anywhere in the city. (And again, I never heard the buses/trains/traffic from our room.) Our room seemed newly renovated and was very clean. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip through Sydney."

"This was the second time we have stayed in the converted Fire Station apartment. It is a good-sized studio, we love the wrap around views both inside and outside and spend lots of time on the fabulous deck, which includes both a shaded area and a BBQ. "Cant fault anything about our stay at The Darling - staff were polite and helpful and the property and room was exceptionally clean. It was convenient for visiting the Theatre and local attractions. This will be our go to hotel for future visits to Sydney. "
