We had a great stay at Cielo Maya. Located right on the beach with a pier and some hammocks. Also has a pool and some swinging chairs. Breakfast was included and great considering all the options. Rooms are a little dated without any USB ports but otherwise clean and very comfortable for the price. We were also able to rent a car directly from the hotel which was a great benefit and helped us a lot with day trips to other Mayan ruins and a beautiful lagoon. Playa Esperanza is the perfect place to unwind, it’s super ideal for a couples getaway or honeymoon. All the staff is super nice and helpful. The only downside for me, it’s that not all of their rooms have AC, they’re an eco friendly hotel and there is no fridge, iron or hair dryer, and they shut the power for a couple of hours as they are running on generators. But I love that they care about the environment!
We just returned from a week at Jashita and couldn't recommend the hotel more. This place was amazing. A little paradise in the middle of the jungle. Rooms are very big and comfortable. There 2 pools and lots of things to do. Including temezcal, sound healing, yoga etc. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help. There is laundry service available and they will always be happy to call you a cab. Hotel was clean and had a great view of lake. It is walking distance to the Maya ruins. That allows you to get into park at 8 am before all of the other tourist do. Nice having the park to ourselves for a couple of hours
