Hotels in Kawaha Point

Our check-in felt a bit awkward—we were told many (many) times how the property and views are “quite stunning” as we were shown around. Everything else was very nice. Room had a great view, and we really liked the breakfast (and breakfast staff). Parking on the hill was tricky!

Very luxurious rooms and great views of the lake. Lovely breakfasts. Beautiful trees and grounds.

Waterfront BnB with free kayaking and tennis. 10 minutes drive to city center which is nice as it keeps you out of the sulfur smell but still close to everything. Hosts are very nice. Multiple delivery services can be used for dinner.

The location is very convenient, and the property has been newly renovated. The interior is clean, modern, and stylish. The staff were friendly and even offered us vouchers for local activities, which was a lovely surprise. There were only two minor drawbacks. First, in our room type, all the bedrooms were upstairs while the only toilet was downstairs, which was a little inconvenient, especially at night. Second, the tea bags provided weren't very fragrant. Other than these small issues,...

Stay here was excellent. Rooms were clean. Check in and checkout was easy.

The one bedroom with kitchen and sitting area was exactly as shown/described. Large kitchen / living room with full kitchen that had quality appliances. The washing machine with 2 detergent packets were useful. There was even a dryer to hang your clothes on. Room was efficiently serviced daily. Short walk to stores and cafe. There is a Māori thermal village that is 5 minutes away. We did not use the hot tub, but that was bubbling away. Recommended place to stay as we were very comfortable there.

This place was very positive experience and we would stay again. A pleasure to meet the Hosts, pictures are exactly as they appear. Quiet neighborhood, parking easy, and all amenities that you need. Close to downtown, the geothermal spa, and ice cream parlor! Love Rotorua!

The place was clean and spacious with a couple of bedrooms and a great shower.

So glad I booked this place! It felt home away from home for this solo traveler. You had the privacy of your own studio but could go into the home and feel welcomed. Breakfast was such a fun experience with the food and other guests. Fresh coffee, fresh orange juice and freshly cut up fruit were my favorite! Beds were comfortable, slept good. Location was amazing for all the site seeing. I rented a car and it was short 5 to 20-30 min drives to all the great outdoor sites and events. I...

Vivian is a wonderful host. Fantastic location. Comfortable Bed!

We had a wonderful stay at Aura Accommodation. Even though we arrived late in the evening, the warm welcome and friendly hospitality made us feel comfortable right away. One of the highlights was our beautiful room with a lovely view of Lake Rotorua. Waking up to the peaceful lake scenery each morning made our stay even more memorable. We also appreciated that our room was serviced while we were out enjoying an early morning activity. It was so nice to return to a clean and tidy room after a...

People in the hotel was very nice. Hotel is located in the town centre. You can go to bus centre, shopping streets, several sightseeing places within 30 min walking distance. No glass/cup in the washing room probably due to New Zealand custom. We took a glass out of 3 glasses from kitchin. Next day, only 2 cups remain in the kitchin. Next day only 1 glass remaind in the kitchin. We claimed this when check-out. They explained us that maid puts glasses in the dish washer in the kitchin...

Very functional and well maintained property. Super convenient location and well stocked with all the essentials needed for a family of four!

We stayed in the white room with the purple/plum attached bathroom that included a private patio. This room was like time-traveling into 40s-60s luxury. Beautiful moldings. Gorgeous built-in cabinets and shelving. The place isn't perfect, but it was impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and if you're a fan of mid-century deco, you'll love staying in this room.

Clean , friendly helpful. Would definitely rebook if we come back to the area

Hotel was great. Full breakfast delivered to room, wi-fi access for multiple devices and a self-serve laundry room made for a wonderful stay.

Great experience considering most were not in New Zealand. The attention to detail really shows. Is it a perfect place? No, but they do what they can with what they have. I was very satisfied with the room, staff and everything about the property.

Friendly staff, parking space not available on site but nearby, clean room, nice shared facilities.
