"The property is very eclectic. Well decorated and a lot of seating outside on the patio. Breakfast was very good. Margaret was very friendly and always smiling. Bed was very comfortable. She was very accommodating, letting us stay there with our luggage since we had a late flight. Highly recommend it! "

We enjoyed the spacious room and huge tub. The breakfast was always delicious and the location was close to many restaurants and bars. The owners and staff were very accommodating and helpful. We will stay there again when we are in Johannesburg.
I booked three nights at this guesthouse.
I had a nice reception from the lady that manages the place. My room was well-appointed with a nice bathroom. Toiletries, such as shampoo, bath gel, body lotion and little soaps were provided. Towels and bed linens are very clean, smell fresh.
Breakfast is provided and it includes some cold items, as well as a hot breakfast items, such as cooked to order eggs, bacon, sausages. It was good.
My only concern would be staying there in the summer...
Do yourself a favour and stay here if you are in Joberg. Before I flew to South Africa i considered a number of options before settling on this one. When driving through the slum areas i saw a couple of guesthouses.... beautiful little places but surrounded by shacks and questionable characters... be careful. A lovely guest house that is within walking distance to delicious restaurants, 27 boxes for shopping and a great area to have coffee or tea. The staff is friendly and accommodating and so helpful in booking tours. I would stay her again in a second. (Stayed November 2016)
So wonderful! Peaceful! Such beautiful surrounding gardens, gorgeous pool! I loved everyone of staff. Their restaurant has the BEST chefs! We stepped out of our spacious, modern, beautifully decorated room after a free shuttle ride whose driver met us inside the airport! A comfortable 15 minute ride from the airport!

Lovely hotel in a nice neighborhood in Johannesburg. Staff was lovely and the roof top bar was the perfect place to unwind after a day of touring. Would definitely stay again!
Our visit here was amazing the staff bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable the rooms were clean and the food was great.

The Hyde Park Villas are located in a safe and tranquil neighbourhood. Shops such as the Hyde Park Corner are a short walk away and Rosebank Mall is a bus stop away. The place itself is neat,rooms are clean with well tended gardens outside. The host is on hand to cook a home-made sumptuous breakfast. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the place. It offers a luxury stay at a great price.
