The Abbey is a darling place to stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and the most charming staff. Lovely breakfast and absolutely perfect location, close to everything . . . walkable to high street, tons of restaurants, the theatre, and the bus depot. I will definitely stay here again.
We liked everything about the hotel. The room was very spacious and nicely appointed. The only disappointment was the fact that we would’ve loved to have had high tea, and try to book a reservation in the morning for the same day and were told that we needed to give 40 hours notice. I didn’t see that posted anywhere. If you have it posted it’s in very little print. You might want to revisit that. If it was on your website, I didn’t see it which could’ve been my fault. Otherwise it was a lovely...
The best part of our stay was the food in the restaurant. It was exceptional. The worst part was the 38 steps up to our top floor room and the quarter mile walk to the car park. The bed was comfortable, the Nespresso coffee maker was nice and the shower was just OK, having only a rain head and no wand. The bar is great for what’s on the bar menu but lame for US cocktails. For instance, the bartender didn’t know what either a manhattan or Rob Roy was.
This was our favorite hotel of our entire 2 week holiday. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the breakfast was fantastic, and the location in the center of high street in Chipping Campden was ideal. The hotel itself has great character as an older building, but the rooms are sufficiently modernized and comfortable. Super water pressure and clean.

Not very close or walkable to most things we wanted to see, but beautiful regency neighborhood. Parking was easy. No elevator so we did have to carry our large bags by hand.

Great customer service, great chef, so accommodating and friendly. Very nice people made everything enjoyable on our travels and during our stay. Just no elevator so a little difficult for elders but manageable.
