We loved the gardens especially and the walk down to the abbey ruins. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was nice too and the staff are friendly locals.
The Ees Wyke is a true country inn with magnificent grounds and views of the countryside and lake. We stayed in the Lilac room which was large and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. The public spaces, i.e. living room and dining room, were beautifully maintained and elegantly appointed. We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Manor. The hosts were great and offered advice on dining in the local area and walking directions to the town. We spent most of our time traveling the area and did not eat in the restaurant. The room was a little on the small side and the hot weather required a fan in the room which did not add to the comfort. Otherwise all good and worth a visit
