"The evening receptionist was very kind, helpful and professional. The room was very tidy and all requirements provided. Mary was highly skilled, knowledgeable and welcoming and was very helpful with my breakfast menu selection."

"The first room we stayed in was on level 5 it had no air conditioning and was extremely hot. We were told that the hotel was full so we couldn’t move to another room. The window was very small and only opened a few inches. We asked again 2 days later and were given another fan. However, it just blew the hot air around very noisily. After not being unable to sleep on the fourth day we asked again about another room and we moved to a room on the first floor with really quite and effective air conditioning. Neither of the rooms had a fridge and both had windows that only opened a few inches. However, half way through our stay we were told we could sign a safety form and the windows could be then fully opened. On our last day we heard that we could have requested a fridge. Surely all rooms should have air conditioning and a small fridge. These things sadly spoiled our stay in a 4 star hotel with an excellent spa and restaurant"

"Very nice lobby, pool area and breakfast restaurant. Breakfast was very good with a variety of cooked and continental options. We had a twin room. It was clean but it was very hot. Our room was on the bottom floor so we didn't feel comfortable leaving windows open. No A/C but we were provided with a fan. The room was nice but could probably do with a slight cosmetic improvement. Staff were very helpful throughout. Overall a very nice stay"

"We loved our stay at the Merton hotel. Child focused and very friendly. Excellent service and staff. Pool area was great and the breakfast was excellent. Brilliant and varied night entertainment. Good acts on for the adults and the young team who entertained the kids were very talented and really put everything into making sure they had fun."
