"It was our first‑year anniversary, and we chose this spot for our celebration. Even though we didn’t realize many things would be closed for the season, we still had a wonderful time. The area is beautiful — the colors of the trees, the fresh air, and the overall atmosphere were truly breathtaking. I would have given 5 stars, but on our last night we had no hot water and couldn’t enjoy the hot tub before leaving, which had been one of our favorite parts on the first day. We didn’t know what was going on until we saw a note in the elevator stating that the boiler was down until 10/11/2026. That was very disappointing, as we couldn’t enjoy a hot tub soak or even a nice hot shower before heading home. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the unexpected lack of hot water on the final night did affect our experience a little."

"We stayed one Saturday night at the Winter Park Chateau, and honestly, we weren’t sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised! From the moment we arrived, the host was so friendly, kind, and welcoming. The place has such a cool, laid-back vibe while still feeling cozy, modern, and thoughtfully designed. I loved that we could access our room from both the outside and inside, and the cute little porch was such a nice bonus for sitting outside and enjoying the fresh mountain air. The remote keypad was also a great touch for convenience. Our room was lovely! Everything felt comfortable and high quality, from the super-soft bed and pillows to the cute little rugs and extra blankets. They even thought of the little details, like having multiple chargers available. The coffee maker, refrigerator, and fireplace were all great amenities that made the room feel extra cozy. Even though we were only passing through and stayed just one night, we absolutely loved our experience. It was such a pleasant surprise, and we would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend the Winter Park Chateau if you’re looking for a comfortable, modern, and welcoming place to stay. ❤️"

"Pretty good - Some hits, some misses. Although this is an older motel, the room have been remodeled with very modern amenities and apparently by skilled craftsmen not the hacks you usually see at places like this. (There were still some sketchy things in the common areas though) Everything was clean and well cared for. Bed and pillows were comfortable and in good condition. Having said all that, there were some basics lacking. WIFI was completely useless and only added frustration. Cell service is OK in the area so I was able to tether my laptop to my phone. One of the bedside lamps was unplugged and the other one was missing a light bulb. Lighting was confusing, operated by remote controls that were tucked away inside a drawer and not readily available while you are trying to come in to a dark room for the first time. Other things felt hidden as well: There were no cups in the bathroom but eventually stumbled accross some in a drawer by the coffee maker. (which was pure luck because I don't drink coffee) Tissue was tucked away in a cabinet under the sink. Trash can was teeny tiny and not really enough for a 3 night stay. There doesn't appear to be anyone on site to assist, although they were very resonsive on the phone. I would probably stay there again, but I'm a little disappointed because it could have been better with a few changes."

"My husband and I recently spent two nights here and were pleasantly surprised. We were upgraded from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom. We wanted a quiet place to rest and spend time together and this was perfect for that. Our patio had excellent views and the staff were friendly and helpful. We did not use many of the “extras” - game room, hot tub, etc. but if we come back with kids, I am sure they will want to use them. We did spend one morning at Monarch Trail Loop (I think that is the name?) in Arapaho National Recreation Area and enjoyed the lovely views and fresh air."

"Very convenient on the main street in Grand Lake, and we had a late arrival, which was handled perfectly and efficiently. Nice room, we've stayed in that same room before (we've stayed at this property six or seven times in recent years), the motel was full but there was still a parking spot for us in the lot. All good, the lady in the lobby at our late arrival gave all the instructions needed."

"Pros: This cabin is perfect for a few nights, has a full kitchen, and enough space to spread out. Walkable to downtown and the lake. Very quiet and cozy. Cons: I didnt receive any checkin instructions and there’s no clear indication how to check in at the “office,” which was locked. It took 30min to get someone on the phone once I’d already arrived. I also could not figure out the fireplace, and didn’t see instructions. Many of the notes in the binder are outdated."
