We had booked the hotel for a one night stay to catch an early flight out of Cairns. We selected the hotel for it's closeness to the airport. When we arrived, we found that the hotel was nicer than expected. Our room was modern, clean and very spacious. And despite the hotel being located on a major road, the road noise was not an issue in our room. The reception desk is staffed 24/7, so our early check-out was no issue and we were at the airport within a 10min drive.

Sometimes you just want to splurge a little on accommodation, so I went with a bit more upscale with Pullman Cairns International and selected a room with balcony and view of the bay. Room was clean and spacious, with a bathroom that had a bathtub and shower. A nice firm bed and plenty of flat surfaces to put your things. And with refrigerator too. Thank you to Larissa at the front desk for assigning me a great room that is quiet and comfortable that I didn't feel like going out (almost)....
