While it doesn’t boast the polish of a newer hotel, it checks the box on every comfort including AC, a beautiful upstairs sitting room full of historical photos and antiques as well as a lovely garden terrace to take one’s meals. "The hotel was wonderful. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe here. The concierge Amit seemed to be looking out for me. He was very helpful in everyway. I was able to walk to India Museum from this hotel as well as Saint John's Church for the Black hole of Kolkata memorial. The breakfast in the morning was very nice, although the staff did seem to have a hard time keeping everything fully stocked. I would definitely stay again."

"This is a location choice as it's a great central starting point Park Street is good for a busy vibe with a range of restaurants. Reception is positive lead by the fantastic Parvin and the cook Morat is a Gent. Large rooms on 5 floor. You get to see the 1920 style building. All good G"

"The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the room, especially the ceiling fan. The hotel is in a very busy market street with fantastic street food. Unfortunately the market continues well into the small hours of the night and there was a nightclub next door that didn’t close until 2am. It was very hard to get to sleep through the loud music. If you struggle with sleep this might not be the best hotel for you. "

"This was my third or fourth visit to Hotel Kempton I was given a lovely room and the excellent staff couldn’t have done more to make me feel welcomed. Enjoyed a good buffet breakfast and later a delicious meal in the restaurant with some dear Kolkata friends. Definitely recommended- Thank you! "
