"This hotel is very well located on the east side just outside Chiang Mai's old town. You can walk to Tha Pae gate which is very famous for photographs and that takes you into the old town. We got a room on the 6th floor with a beautiful view of the old town and Doi Suthep in the background - would definitely recommend asking for a room facing the west."

Mae booked a wondeful Elephant sanctuary tour for us and was helpful in explaining best places to go when in Chiang Mai. For the cheap price the hotel was great. Very centeral to do day walks from throught the gate and around rhe city. Close to greatfood spots. "

"This was an extension of my first stay. I ended feeling so comfortable in the hotel and neighborhood that i stayed on instead of switching to the next location. Its an older building so rough around the edges and the elevator sometimes acts up but the staff is all very helpful and friendly and other than the tiny ants that sometimes show up (only in bathroom) everthing is very clean.
